Choosing Color for Your Home
by Lisbeth Calandrino Choosing color for your home can be both exciting and frightening. You may be tired of the same old beige, which is still one of the top selling colors. Still, you wonder, "What if I choose the wrong color? What if it goes out of style?"
We all remember colors of our youth, no matter what our age. The problem is, how to not look out of date and still not get caught by a fad that is in one day and out the next.
So how will you choose colors for your house? First, look through all the fashion magazines (clothing, jewelry, shelter, etc.) for colors you like and dislike. You will begin to get a sense of your color taste. If everything comes out a neutral hue don't fret. You like neutral, and it is a color.
Consider the whole room when choosing colors for your floors. The color of the furniture, accessories, a favorite painting or even the color of the plants will look different when placed together. It's wise to bring your paint colors and photos to one of our helpful associates at JLHFD so you can see how they will all look together.
