Friends of Nursing Luncheon and Scholarship Awards Ceremony |
|
On Saturday, May 1 in a Celebration of Excellence, the Friends of Nursing held their 28th Annual Spring Luncheon and Scholarship Awards Ceremony at the Lakewood Country Club Ballroom. The Friends of Nursing awarded over $50,000 in scholarships to approximately 23 nursing students from nursing schools in Colorado. In attendance, Dr. Barbara Joyce, Beth-El College of Nursing Scholarship Coordinator, Dr. Cindy Roach, Friends of Nursing College Liaison, and Beth-El College Award Winners: Ashley Alameya, Sara Bozzi and Eugene Fisco.

Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences students commemorated National Nurses Week by decorating faculty offices with inspirational sayings as well as light-hearted thanks and balloons. (More) |

Deborah Kenny, associate dean for research, Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences was recently selected as a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, one of the nation's most respected professional organizations for nurses. (More)

Carole Schoffstall, dean emerita, Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, is a recipient of the prestigious Nightingale Award for Human Caring for 2010. (More)

Science Gets New Look and Name |
|
To accompany a $17 million top-to-bottom renovation, the old Science Building will soon have a new name.
The renovated Science Building will be called Centennial Hall, according to Brian Burnett, vice chancellor, Administration and Finance. (More) |
