Dunn and Associates Earns Alumni and Friends Award |
 The operators of The Palisades at Broadmoor Park received the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Alumni and Friends Award May 5 in ceremonies at the campus. Toby Gannett and Ryan Dunn, vice presidents, Dunn and Associates, accepted the award from Paul Butcher, chair, UCCS Alumni and Friends Association in recognition of the company's innovative approach to senior housing and partnership with the university. UCCS Professor, Community Advocate Wins $10,000 Service Award |
 Abby Ferber, professor of sociology and women's and ethnic studies at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, was honored with the 2009 Chase Faculty Community Service award at the May 5 annual UCCS Campus Awards Ceremony. Ferber was honored for her work with Smart-Girl, a local nonprofit that organizes activities and programs that help adolescent girls develop and practice attitudes, skills, and behaviors that will lead to success and self-sufficiency. Kane Family Scholars Announced |
 The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak Community College, Lamar Community College, Otero Junior College, Pueblo Community College and Trinidad State Junior College announced recipients of the 2009 Kane Scholarships May 13 in ceremonies on the UCCS campus. The merit-based scholarship program, one of the largest in the state, was made possible through the Kane Family Foundation and its benefactors, Wanden and Andy Kane. The Kanes were Fountain ranchers who believed in independence through education. ( More) |

Join Us for the Senior Games at Palisades at Broadmoor Park |
 Join us at the Palisades at Broadmoor Park on May 23 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and learn what the Rocky Mountain Senior Games are all about. This hands-on workshop will provide a history of the Senior Games and give you a chance to try a variety of events that are offered. Sports, health and wellness professionals from the community will be on site to answer questions and offer tips for getting started in senior athletics.
