Advent
Advent begins Sunday (10:00 pm Sunday Mass Only)
Advent candles November 30th is the first Sunday in Advent.  We will have only a 10:00 pm Mass this Sunday because of Thanksgiving break.
Copies of the Angelus prayer will be available in all our Chapels for Advent and we will be praying the Angelus at noon before our Monday, Wednesday and Friday 12:05 pm Masses.  Our Advent Penance and Pizza service (penance service followed by individual confession) will be on Wednesday, December 10th, starting at 5:05 pm.

Christmas Carroll Eve - 2007Help make the holiday season brighter for the children at the Fatima Family Center.  Trees will be located in the Student Center Atrium, the Dolan Science Center Atrium, & in the Administration Building outside Einstein Brothers. 
 
If you are interested, please select an ornament and purchase the gift noted on the back.  Unwrapped gifts can be returned to  St. Francis Chapel, the Campus Ministry Office, the Center for Service and Social Action, or to a Resident Minister before December 11th.  Monetary donations will also be gladly accepted in the Campus Ministry Office.  Questions?? Evening Prayer - Tuesdays and Thursdays
Evening PrayerThere are two opportunities available to participate in Evening Prayer.  Tuesdays, at 6:30 pm, in St. Francis Chapel  - the Byzantine Church is hosting Evening prayer ("Compline") in the tradition of the Eastern Rite of the Catholic Church.  On Thursdays at 7:00 pm - Gesu church is offering Evening Prayer in their Marian Chapel. All are welcome.
Coming during Advent -- Save the Date!
During Advent our Church celebrates the Holy Day of Immaculae Conception on December 8th.  We will have a mass that day at 12:05 pm and at 5:05 pm.  Also during December campus ministry will sponsor Advent Penance (and Pizza).

An Advent penance service will begin at 5:05 pm on Wednesday, December 10th, followed by individual confession.  Following your individual confession you are invited to the atrium for pizza.
World AIDS Awareness
Be part of JCU's Living Ribbon to call attention to the World AIDS' crisis.  Volunteers will participate in the ribbon Monday, December 1st during the Women's Basketball game.  To learn more and sign-up click here.  To learn more about the World AIDS Awareness Week click here.
Byzantine Divine Liturgy - Sundays at 7:00 PM

St. Francis Chapel's November Mass collections will benefit the CLEVELAND CATHOLIC WORKER.
 
The Cleveland Catholic Worker is a community rooted in the teachings of the founder of the Catolic Worker movement, Dorothy Day.  The Cleveland community offers fellowship assistance to the poorest of the poor of our community at their Lorain Road storefront center.
