| UPCOMING JEWISH HOLIDAYS |
This week Jewish people observe Rosh HaShanah which refers to the celebration of the Jewish New Year and begins a ten-day period of prayer, self-examination and repentance which culminates on the fast day of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur (Oct 9, 2008) is considered the holiest day of the Jewish year, and is a day of prayer and fasting. We offer prayers in solidarity with our Jewish brothers and sisters during these holy days. |
