| Release of World View Magazine! |
World View, JCU's first student-run human rights magazine was released April 1 and will be distributed throughout the semester at various events and campus locations. World View's purpose is to "provide students of various organizations, academic backgrounds and service-based mentalities a platform to promote awareness of human rights issues." It seeks not solely to change, but to challenge the way we see the world. It aims to portray service to others as more than a temporary activity or occasional side project, but rather as a universal struggle for human dignity in the form of a shared worldvie - a paradigm for life that opposes injustice in all forms and locations. View a PDF version of the magazine by clicking here.
Students can submit their own papers, photography, literature, personal reflections, etc to be published in the Fall 2008 issue until the end of April. Questions or submissions should be directed to JCUWorldView@Gmail.com. |
