| Schedule for Palm Sunday & Holy Week |
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. We will have a special 11:00 am Mass, in order to enable Little Sibs to accompany their older sibling to mass before traveling home. All are invited. We will also have a 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm Mass on Palm Sunday. Next week, during Holy Week, there will be a mass at 12:05 pm on Monday and at 5:05 pm on Tuesday. There will be additional masses next week due to Easter Break. The first mass on return to school will be Tuesday, March 25th at 5:05 pm in Rodman. |
| 3 DAYS - 72 HOURS - 4,320 MINUTES of Prayer |
Join us as we embark on a truly unique, collaborative, cross cultural, interfaith experience of prayer! We will join more than 25 other institutions of higher education in Ohio, as well as 27 other Jesuit colleges and universities in a broad-based, intentional time of prayer for Peace in our nation and in our world. We will offer many types of group prayer experiences, and many opportunities for personal prayer over a 72 hour span of time - and the great part is, you can pray wherever you are! (no need to come to the Chapel) In order to make sure that we are covering this time "24/7" we need folks to STEP UP and commit to an hour or more of your time between March 25th at 5:05pm and March 28th at 5:05pm. Click here for the flyer to share with friends!
Be a part of it!!! Call Campus Ministry at Ext. 4717 or stop by the Main Office in the Student Center today! |
| RICA - Upcoming Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist, and Confirmation |
The period of Lent and Holy Week is a special time of preparation for those who will be receiving the sacraments of initiation in the Catholic Church. On Easter, Anna Genova will be receiving the sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation at St. Francis of Assisi, which will become her parish. Please remember her in your prayers this Easter. On Sunday, March 30th at the 6:00 pm Mass, Carolann Kunka will receive the sacraments of baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Here at John Carroll we celebrate these sacraments during the "octave" or 8 days of Easter, because our community is not here for Easter. Please join Carolann at this special time of her initiation into the Catholic Church. |
| Christian Life Community Leader Applications are now available online |

Christian Life Communities (CLCs) are small faith communities grounded in spirituality, community, and service. Groups of 6-10 members gather weekly for prayer, reflection, and conversation as we seek to integrate our faith with the realities of everyday life.
If you would like to lead a CLC for the 2008-2009 year, please complete the application (click here for an application) and return to Carrie Pollick in Campus Ministry by Friday, April 25th, 2008. Please sign up for a ½ hour interview at this time or email your application to cpollick@jcu.edu and include your availability to interview in the email. |
| OPERATION RICE BOWL: Return Your Rice Bowl |

Please remember to return your rice bowls to St. Francis Chapel or to the Campus Ministry main office sometime this week. All proceeds go to Catholic Relief Services. Seventy-five percent of Rice Bowl proceeds come to Catholic Relief Services and help fund development projects designed to increase food security in communities in over 40 countries around the world. 25% of the money collected stays in our Diocese.
