John Carroll, in conjunction with Gesu parish, is offering an adult confirmation class this spring, which will lead to confirmation at the Easter vigil at Gesu Parish on Saturday, March 23rd. If you are a practicing Catholic and received the sacraments of Baptism and First Eucharist, please contact Gail in campus ministry (ext. 4766) to find out the details. |

Along with our regular liturgical schedule - there are several other opportunities for folks to gather for prayer:
Every Tuesday and Thursday, we have a group that prays the Rosary after the mass in Rodman chapel. The rosary usually starts around 5:35pm.
On weeknights (Monday through Friday) we have Night Prayer in the St. Francis Chapel at 9pm. Newcomers are always welcome and encouraged to join in!
After the Murphy Mass (Murphy Chapel on Wedsnesdays at 9:30pm), a group stays for about 1/2 hour of Eucharistic Adoration.

| Do you know a faculty member (College of Arts and Sciences only) who excels in classroom teaching, is a campus leader and has demonstrated creative teaching methodology or course development? Nominations for the Lucrezia Culicchia Award for Teaching Excellence are now being accepted by the Office of the Dean in the College of Arts and Sciences. As members of a community, it is important to take the time to recognize and highlight the contributions of those who excel and thereby inspire others. | Presentation on Poverty & Prayer by San Damiano Film Director |

Ursuline College
Gerry Straub, founder of the San Damiano Foundation will share film, stories and images of those living in poverty. Straub is a Secular Franciscan who has written and directed nine documentary film. He produces films that celebrate the spirituality of St. Francis of Assisi and the Franciscan concern for the poor, social injustice, peace, non-violence, prayer and the integrity of creation.
Transportation to/from JCU will be provided.

February Mass collections will benefit the Cleveland Catholic Worker Storefront.
The Cleveland Catholic Worker Storefront provides food and fellowship to hundreds of Cleveland's men and women who are homeless or living on very limited means. Each week the JUSTICE group visits the Catholic Worker Storefront. To learn more about these visits send an e-mail to cministry@jcu.edu. |
