A Message from the Principal:
Serra Catholic School continues to provide a strong spiritual and excellent educational program because of the active commitment of our families. I am truly grateful to you for your energetic support of our many fundraisers; you are helping to keep our educational program affordable for all.
Today or tomorrow in the mail, you will be receiving a packet from our Pastors and me addressing a necessary change to the Scrip Program Requirement on our current year (2009-10) Fundraising and Service Hours Agreement. It is highly unusual for us to make any parental commitment change mid-school year, however in order to be good stewards of your funds and to be in compliance with a Diocesan directive regarding an IRS Private Letter ruling on Scrip, this change is necessary. CLICK HERE to review the letter you will be receiving in the mail explaining the changes. I encourage you to take time to read through all of the material sent, as there are necessary forms for all families to sign and return to school by Monday, December 14th. As you read the documents, I know that you may have questions, which we are prepared to answer. Please contact the Business Office or Scrip Office directly for assistance.
Our Serra Scrip Program is one of the most successful in the country because of you and our staff. The changes necessary will not hurt the Program with your continued efforts; join me in ensuring that our Scrip Program remains successful and continues to have a strong impact on keeping tuition affordable.

Parent/Teacher Conferences
The scheduled time for your parent/teacher conference will be sent home with each child tomorrow, Friday, December 4th.  Please ask your child for the notice or check their backpacks.  Please know that every effort has been made to accomodate your request.

Preparing for 2010-2011

San Francisco Solano Food Drive Tomorrow!
During this blessed Advent Season, our parish food banks are in even greater need of donations. This will be our final food drive before Christmas and it will benefit San Francisco Solano's food bank. The list included in today's Weekly Envelope is a suggestion of items they could use, but you are not limited to that list.  Any and all donations are greatly appreciated!

Can You Help?
San Francisco Solano parish is having difficulty finding someone to count out and staple lists to paper bags which would be distributed via the Weekly Envelope as St. Kilian's does for their food drives.  If you are interested in volunteering to help them with this project, please contact Carol Reilly at reilly_carol@allergan.com   They could really use your help!
Serra Students Reach Out to Community
Before the Thanksgiving break, a number of Serra Seventh Grade students independently volunteered to solicit and collect donations for South County Outreach's Thanksgiving Program.
