A Message from the Principal:
First Mass of the New School Year
You are invited to enjoy and participate in our first mass this school year, Friday, September 18th at 9:15 a.m.  We do have parking in the neighborhood as well as in the lot for this mass. Please do not park at Bristol Park.

Seating for parents and guests are in the chairs that you will see on the gym floor and also in the very top rows of the bleachers. You will be asked to wait patiently either in the courtyard or in the lobby while we seat all the students, then you will be welcomed in to sit and join us.

We are so excited about this mass. Eighth Grade students will be mass leaders, ushers, lectors and a combined choir of Fifth to Eighth Grade students will sing. The best part of all of this is that we will have a concelebrated Mass, Fr. Reynold  from Holy Trinity will be our presider, Fr. Craig and Fr. John from San Francisco Solano and Fr.Jim from St. Killian will join him. I hope you can join us for our first mass in the Student Activity Center. Please note, students in Grades One to Eight attend mass, Kindergarten has special prayer services throughout the school year and do not attend our schoolwide masses.

Formal Uniform
For mass days and other announced special occasions, fieldtrips, pictures etc. we have formal uniform as described in our handbook.

It has come to my attention that there are some backorders that may affect students wearing the correct uniform tomorrow. If you do not have a correct uniform piece for your child tomorrow, please send a note to the teacher. True Grits is supplying us a list of families who have back orders, what has been back ordered and when items were ordered. We want to be sure that your child does not have merit consequences for not being in correct uniform when it is beyond their control.

A Note on Sweaters
I understand many sweaters are still being monogrammed and may not be ready.  For this reason, sweaters are optional for September 18 mass only.

Traffic Update
I am so appreciative to everyone who has been so cooperative each morning and each afternoon.  I am especially grateful to you for not parking in the neighborhood and for not dropping off your children to walk onto campus unaccompanied.

We are succeeding in our traffic flow thanks to all of you, keep it up, and I promise you, we as a staff will continue to do so as well.

Serra Golf Tournament
I would like to personally thank Mr. and Mrs. Orrantia and their committee for all the work and preparations for our golf tournament being held this Thursday, September 24th.

If you haven't signed up yet to golf, please do so, this is going to be another amazing Serra event filled with fun and fellowship. I am looking forward to spending time with our golfers on the course. Thank you for supporting the students and student learning programs through this tournament.
Serving Christ's Children,
