Greetings!
Four years ago, on June 1, 2008, I began working for Faith House Manhattan and will complete my tenure as Executive Director on July 31, 2012. It has been an amazing journey: launching the community, organizing 65 Living Rooms and more than 30 special events, acquiring 501(c)(3) status, and communicating with people around the world about this innovative, inspiring, and hope-filled work.
In honor of my work at Faith House and to support the next chapter, please: Donate online www.faithhousemanhattan.org/donate or send a check to "Faith House Manhattan" P.O. Box 552, New York, New York 10028 I am excited to go out with a bang! Faith House founder Samir Selmanovic and I will be leading a 3-day Immersion from July 25-27 called Abrahamic Manhattan! The group will visit three different Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities in Manhattan, providing a rich tapestry of Abrahamic diversity in NYC. Come join us and spread the word!
My new full-time position is as Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries at St. James' Episcopal Church, on Madison Avenue at 71st Street. I am excited to focus on working with people in their teens, twenties, and thirties, in groups and individually, and to collaboratively lead mission trips, service opportunities, and new initiatives! I coined Faith House's tag line, "Experience Your Neighbor's Faith, Deepen Your Own" and this has been my own experience too. My new job at St. James' Church grows out of my deepened faith as a Christian.
