OUR REGULAR PROGRAM:
LIVING ROOM gatherings are every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 5:00-6:30 pm in Intersections located at 274 Fifth Ave (btw. 29th and 30th Street).
At least once a month we SERVE TOGETHER in the area of fighting poverty, working for social or environmental justice, sustainability, and community service. We also have a FAITH HOUSE TOUR BUS program, as we step out of our comfort zones and into a hospitable space of others to visit, participate, and learn from their services, lectures, rituals, concerts, and other events.
(all programs are free of charge - donations are welcome)

ANNOUNCING: FUN
Faith House at the Easter Bonnet Parade!
We need your help on Easter
Sunday, April 12th. Andy Padre, New York's famed Metro Man, has created 36 'bonnets', straw hats
decorated with tissue paper flowers as well as items made of metrocards, messenger bags, shoes and flip flops. These will be modeled
by Faith House volunteers and 'sold' to others at the Parade who will
also be asked to donate to Faith House. Our group will be located near St. Patricks (5th Avenue at 51st Street) from 11am to 2pm. Please
stop by and stay for as long as you like. Bless some Christians, get a great hat, and find new friends!
Please bring your camera and
have your photo taken while modeling any of the artworks. The event
does not follow an actual parade route. It is more people milling about
in costumes along Fifth Avenue from 57th street to 50th Street.

Between Death and Resurrection: Where Did Jesus Go?
Speakers: John Snodgrass, Samir Selmanovic, Bowie Snodgrass and Mujadid Shah
The
Apostles Creed's most controversial phrase tells us "he descended into
hell." Orthodox icons depicting the "Harrowing of Hell" show us Jesus
pulling Adam and Eve out of Sheol. Some believe Jesus died on Good
Friday and only rose in sensationalized stories told later. Others
believe Jesus survived the crucifixion and spent the rest of his life
traveling outside the Roman Empire, dying finally an old man in India.
Come hear about these three traditions, plus what the Bible tells us happened in a contemplative service with ample silence.
People
of all faiths and no faith at all are welcome to come reflect on these
possibilities in an evening vigil led by Christians and Muslims in the
Faith House Community, on this Holiest Saturday in the Christian year,
the day before Christ arose!
