UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE TOGETHER
Faith House is going to build a house in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, and the time to sign up is NOW! There are only two more spots left.
This is your chance to exercise your faith and your body, as well as making some new friends. Come and work it all out!
Date: March 8, 2008, Sunday Time: 9:00am to 4:30pm Location: 2331 Atlantic Ave, Brooklyn, NY
Work: Ten of us will be construction workers for the day. No construction experience is necessary. You will be instructed and supervised by a knowledgeable crew. We will learn, pound, haul, lug, dig, raise, demolish, or scrub--and see real results and celebrate. Come and be a part of a real, practical solution to substandard housing!
To register: Send your email address and phone number to Samir Selmanovic at samir@faithhousemanhattan.org (first come first listed-- but, at the same time, we will try to make the group diverse). Once we identify ten volunteers you will get the schedule for the day, instructions on how to prepare, safety information, a waiver to sign, and a map how to get there. Lunch will be provided.
Thank you Sammer Aboelela for doing all the work necessary to make this possible! UPCOMING LIVING ROOM GATHERINGS(location: Intersections, 274 Fifth Ave, between 29th and 30th)
