Dr. Lucinda Mosher will speak on Mary the Mother of Jesus as Muslims understand her: What does the Qur'an have to say about Mary and her son Jesus? What have Muslims taught about her over the centuries? What role does she play in Muslim piety? All are welcome. Dr. Mosher is a consultant, educator and author who specializes in inter-religious relations. She is the author of the response of The Episcopal Church to A Common Word (a major Muslim call for dialogue), studies of the Turkish Muslim mystic Bediuzzaman Said Nurse, and author of many articles on Christian-Muslim understanding. She is also the author of Faith in the Neighborhood book series, which addresses America's religious diversity.
