NEW ARTS ORGANIZATION ON BAINBRIDGE ISLAND: Islanders4Arts is a new arts organization, with the mission statement of Advancing Arts and Culture on Bainbridge Island. The Board of Directors is comprised of professionals who are actively working in arts and culture. Initially, Islanders4Arts will focus on marketing businesses and organizations in the arts, with an emphasis on inclusive group marketing of non-profit organizations and the private sector. Islanders4Arts has an ambitious agenda for 2010, including hosting the Arts and Cultural Fair at the finish line of Chilly Hilly bike race, and the first Bainbridge Island Festival of the Arts. The Board of Directors includes Mike Sciacca, Eric Fredricks, Darden Burns, Tamara Sellman, Jack McLaughlin, Pete Saloutos and Elizabeth Gadbois. Bainbridge Island has taken a big hit during the economic downturn, especially the housing market. The Tour of Architects, slated for March 20 & 21, may convince you that NOW is the perfect time to build or remodel!
The upcoming Bainbridge Island Tour of Architects, presented by Seattle Homes and Lifestyles and GEM, LLC - will showcase private homes, commercial properties and mixed-use projects, featuring the Island's finest architects and designers. Architects will be on hand to greet the public, and answer questions about your upcoming projects!
This exciting tour will offer a glimse at homes and buildings created with a wide variety of budgets.
On Saturday, Architects will present New Construction and Remodel projects, including adaptive reuse and more.
On Sunday, the tour will emphasize homes and buildings that have implemented Energy Efficient Designs and Earth Friendly Materials. You will save money if you incorporate energy efficient concepts in your next project.
