We Are Moving!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We have finally signed a new lease.  Although it is not as much space as I had wanted, it will almost double our space to 7,000 square feet and it is only 2 buildings down from our current space.  This will give us the abiltiy to show off more of our hobby items as well as our new commercial winery equipment.  We will also be increasing the size of the grain room by almost 300% and will be adding a second mill.  We will also be adding another refrigerator for our expanding selection of hops and liquid yeast.
We plan to make the move in June and will let you know when this will occur.  We will start the move on a Saturday afternoon and hope to be up and running by the following Monday.  For those of you that would like to help with the move, please let me know.  As we did in our last move, anyone that helps will get store credit.  The new address will be 1500 I35E, Suite 116.  It is at the corner of I35 and Northside drive.
More details will be emailed as soon as we have a difinitive date.
Large Equipment
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As most of you now know, we are expanding into commercial winery equipment and we have a shipment currently on route from our Italian suppliers.  One of the benefits from this expansion is that I now have sources for small equipment like stainless steel tanks, presses, crusher/de-stemmers, bottlers, etc. that are perfect for the home wine maker wanting to make larger batches and/or working with fresh fruit.

I am going back to Italy in May to train on the commercial equipment, but I also have a meeting set up with the manufacturers of the small equipment.  I already have their pricing and if the quality meets my expectation, we will have some excellent pricing on these items.  I expect to have the new items and pricing on the web site by the first of June.  If you have any specific needs, don't hesitate to send me an email or give me a call.
Web Site Improvements
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do to our rapidly growing home brew side of the business, we have made some improvements to the web site for ordering beer ingredients.  As such, we have added the following:
  • 1/2 pound pricing for Base Grains
  • 1 ounce pricing for Adjuncts, Crystals and Specialty Grains
  • A button to indicate if you want your grains milled (crushed), and
  • The ability to have up to 9 different grain bills on each order.
We will combine your grains based on the grain bill number and mill them per your instructions.  If you want a 50 or 55 pound bag milled, we also have that option, but there is a $5.00 per bag milling charge.
Walk up customers, please note that you will be charged based on the pound price as always.
We are also working with a web site programmer to find and fix the problems that some of you are having with the ordering system.  We hope to have these problems fixed shortly.
Bottling Party
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So we don't have to move our carboys full of wine, we will be having a bottling party prior to the move.  At this time, we anticipate the party to be either June 2 or June 9.  As soon as we have a definte date, we will let you know.

For those of you that have never attended one of our bottling parties, we set up an assembly line to bottle the wine.  People can use the bottler for a while then switch to a corker.  If you want you can also put labels on the bottles.

When we are finished (usually 2-3 hours), we set out food and bottles of wine from the batches bottled.  This gives you the opportunity to sample our wines.  In exchange for your help, you get to take home 3 bottles of wine!

As a side note, customers have so much fun at these events that we are always asked, "When is the next one?"  This is also an excellent opportunity to spend an evening talking with other home wine makers.
