CHANGES COMING TO  THE TOY STORE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With the coming of the new year, I want to wish all of our wonderful customers not only a Happy New Year, but a wish that 2012 will bring an end to the economic issues affecting all of us and a start on a true economic recovery.
I would also like to tell you about some very exciting news for the coming year.  I have always wanting to sell equipment to wineries, so in November I attended the world's largest winery equipment trade show  in  Milano, Italy.  There were over 800 companies promoting their products.  During the trip, I was able to locate companies that were either looking to get into the U.S. market or expand their presence.  It will take some time to bring in all of the products, but by the middle of the year, I hope to have a nice selection of equipment for wineries and larger home wine makers.  One of the advantages is that since we will be purchasing all of our equipment directly from the manufacturer, our prices will be extremely competitive, expecially for the smaller scale presses and tanks.
We are still finalizing our first shipment of products, but the following is a list of what we will be offiering:
  • Stainless Steel Tanks from Albrigi
  • Crushers/de-stemmers
  • Presses - basket and bladder presses
  • Multi-station bottle fillers
  • Filters - Plate and Cartridge
  • Pumps
  • Pnuematic Corkers
  • Testing Equipment
  • Hoses and fittings
To make this happen, we will need a larger facility.  I am in the process of finding a location that will provide us with 10-20,000 square feet.  Hopefully, the new location will be within 2 miles of the current store as a lot of you have indicated how convenient it is for you find us.  As soon as I commit to a new lease, I will let you know.
We expect to have our first shipments in during the second quarter to make sure we have what you need prior to this year's harvest. In the meantime, if you have any specific needs regarding larger equipment please contact me.  We also have the ability to customize stainless steel tanks to your specifications.
Thank you again for your continued support.
WINE MAKING TO BEER BREWING
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

If you are a wine maker considering trying your hand at beer, the following will show you how easy and relatively inexpensive it would be to brew some beer.

Since you have been making wine for a while, you already have most of the equipment you need to make your first batch of beer.  Most of the equipment is interchangeable between the two; siphoning equipment, fermentors, testing equipment and bottling accessories.  Along with these items, you will also need the following:
  1. 16-20 quart boiling pot, preferably stainless steel or enamel coated,
  2. Beer Bottle Capper,
  3. Beer bottles (53 for a 5-gallon batch),
  4. Caps, if not included with your beer kit,
  5. Separate plastic primary fermentor as the hops can taint the bucket and could give your future wines a "nice" hoppy flavor!
You will also need the ingredients, malt, hops, yeast and grains.  Instead of finding a recipe and buying all of the ingredients, the Brewer's Best Beer kits are a great place to start your adventures in brewing.  These kits contain all of the ingredients you will need to make five gallons of beer, including the caps.  They come in a wide range of styles to suit everyone's taste.  We also carry beer kits from Brewcraft and Munton's and will be adding True Brew kits by the first of February.

Our resident brewer is Brian Beyer and his email address is brian@finevinewines.com.  He is in the store 5 days a week to answer any of your home brew questions.  You can also give him a call.
