Nominated by Shawsie Branton, Adele Hall and Chuck Battey, our own Annie Presley was honored by Gillis Center (www.gillis.org) for her work in the community on April 20 at the Downtown Marriott Kansas City.
"The Kansas City Spirit" Awards were initiated in 1982 to demonstrate the energy of Kansas City as depicted in the Norman Rockwell painting. Commissioned by Joyce C. Hall "symbolizing the indomitable courage of men and women who put serivce above self". Also recognized this year were David & Michelle Carpenter, Martha Hunt, Gayle Price Krigel, Ah'Lee Robinson, Jim Malouff, and Kent Sunderland. Martha Fuller was recognized as the 2010 Volunteer of The Year.

Roscoe Wilkins Jr. has been promoted to marketing manager of McKellar Consulting. Originally from St. Louis, Roscoe moved to Kansas City to attend Rockhurst University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Marketing and Political Science.
