Our theme this month can be summed up in one word:  NEW!   We have a new name for our organization . . . a newly articulated vision for our practice . . . two new swamis . . . a new practice Center in Seattle . . .  new programs in Europe . . . and a bounty of new members in Portland . . .  not to mention that we're unveiling a whole new range of program offerings and membership options over the next few months.  Here's your opportunity to get better acquainted with all that's new.

And don't forget to click the links in the Retreat report below--we have an audio clip, a video clip, and a slide show for you.
Vision
The Big Picture
A-E-E
It's a time of significant change for everyone in our community--perhaps more so than at any point in our history.  Where did the vision come from?  What are we trying to accomplish?  And where are we at this point on the path?  >more
Retreat
 "Remember the Feeling"

SC by LM
The theme of the July retreat was Bhavana rakho ("Remember the feeling"), a favorite phrase of Bhagawan Nityananda.

Relive the retreat in 3 ways:
1.  Slide show
2.  Video clip of the Lakshmi havan
2.  Audio clip from Swamiji's talk (mp3) the last day of the retreat

The entire 4-CD set of retreat talks, with bonus tracks, is available for $100 ($75 for members) plus $5 for shipping. Call 800-876-7798 or email to order.
(Thanks to Larry Manning for the photo.)
Teachers
Meet Swami Ganeshananda
Swami P - 2
During the July retreat, two senior teachers took sannyas and became Swami Ganeshananda (formerly Per Johansen, right) and Swami Prakashananda (formerly Howard Boster).  Along with Sharon Ward, they form the core of our advanced meditation teaching staff.  Beginning with this issue, we bring you an in-depth profile of each teacher, starting with Swami Ganeshananda.
