Do Your Customers A Favor,
Charge Higher Prices
About three years ago, my favorite restaurant closed and the chef/owner took a job at a hotel. And, why did he close his restaurant? Because he wasn't making enough money to be interested in continuing the restaurant. My wife and I often wish his restaurant was still open. If his prices were a little higher, which they could have been, he would have had the incentive to keep his restaurant operating for us to enjoy.
People buy a product or service because it satisfies a need that they have. When the prices of a product or service are not high enough, the customer may have a less than desirable experience. An owner who is not earning a fair return for his investment of time and money is less inclined to provide a superior shopping experience. The business' environment may be substandard. Lower paid and lesser trained employees may be less helpful. Employee turnover due to low salaries results in customers always confronting a new person rather than an employee they know. And ultimately the business may close.
When your prices are high enough that you can provide your customers an excellent experience, and a continuity of service, your customers truly benefit.
