- A joint meeting with Mbabane, Toluca and Guiyang committees is being planned for September to highlight our upcoming exchanges and how you can be involved.
- Reggio Emilia committee thanks all the families for hosting the 17 participants during ILA.
- Planning for 2013 has started that may include youth exchanges, a culinary exchange with FW Culinary School and a possible sports exchange.

- Thank you to the host families for opening your homes to the Trier students and facilitator.
- The Trier committee is hosting a welcome for Trier intern from Koblenz University, Simon Kohl, this month. Simon is an alum of the Fort Worth Sister Cities program. See calendar for details.

- Thank you so much to all the wonderful host families who opened their homes to the 11 students and 2 delegation leaders from Nagaoka.
- Harashin Scholar Fort Worth students are currently in Nagaoka, and the Japanese students arrive on August 7 for their week in Fort Worth.
- The committee is planning a 25th anniversary and Sayonara dinner for the Harashin students and the Fort Worth Youth Orchestra will perform. See calendar for details.
- The 8 young professionals headed to Nagaoka for the business mentorship program will be meeting this month with the Fort Worth Chamber and with board member Susan Turner for Japanese business protocol training.

- Thank you to the host families who opened their homes to the 6 students and one teacher from Bandung, and to Paul Geisel for hosting them for a dinner and swimming party.
- Plans are underway for an inbound exchange program between Bandung High School No. 5 and Arlington Heights High School in October.
- Stay tuned for information on an adult exchange to Bandung possibly scheduled for this summer.

- Many thanks to the Budapest committee volunteers for all your help during ILA.
- Fort Worth received a special invitation to participate in Budapest World Heritage Day, which celebrates and highlights both Hungarian and Fort Worth culture.
- The committee will help the Trier group welcome Simon Kohl this month.

- Gracias to all the families for hosting our 33 youth and teachers from Toluca.
- Congratulations to Trinity Valley School as we plan for them to participate in our Ambassador High school program hosting a 3 week exchange for 12 high students from Tec de Monterrey this November.
- Our committee will be planning a joint meeting with Mbabane, Reggio Emilia and Guiyang groups. Stay tuned for upcoming details in September.

- Mbabane Service Adventure delegates will showcase a great photo presentation at our September meeting. Bring a friend, we are planning an exciting Service exchange for next summer so get the details early.

- Xiexie to our wonderful host families for welcoming our Guiyang youth and teachers during ILA program.
- We are planning an extended youth and educator exchange for next June. Plan to attend our joint meeting in September with Italy, Mexico and Swaziland to hear about these details.

Fort Worth Youth International
- Thanks to all FYI members who volunteered to set up TCU dorm rooms at ILA for the international students.
- Nathan Bowser, President, and youth board officers of FYI, are busy planning board retreat and program brainstorming session in September for 2012-2013. Youth members are invited to share ideas for programs and email to Irene@fwsistercities.org by August30th.
- Principal letters to all middle and high schools will be sent this month to select a teacher as our liaison to promote all youth and teacher exchanges and local programs.
