- The committee will welcome 4 Reggio students participating in the Kids Who Care Summer Theater Camp this month, as well as 17 others for Texas International Leadership Week and International Leadership Academy July 6-29.
- Mark your calendars to attend the international potluck dessert reception, all guests are asked to bring their favorite cookie desserts and enjoy a fun evening of cultural presentations. All members are also invited to attend the closing ceremony on July 29th.
- Grazie to all the wonderful host families sharing our Texas hospitality.

- We are pleased to welcome one university student facilitator and 3 high school students for the Texas International Leadership Week and Academy. We also have a University of Koblenz student joining our intern team this month. Join the Trier committee at the International Cultural Sharing and dessert potluck night July 17th.

- Eight participants have been selected to participate in the Young Professionals Mentorship exchange program to Nagaoka, Japan Oct. 2-12, 2012. This program is being partially funded by a grant through Sister Cities International funded by the U.S./Japan America Society.
- The committee is also planning the 25th anniversary celebration exchange to Nagaoka, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and Tokyo at the same time. See registration details here.

- The committee is pleased to welcome 6 Indonesian students and their teacher to Fort Worth for ILA. The committee is planning an informal welcome dinner for the students and their host families on Sat., July 24th at 6:00 p.m. at the home of former chair Paul Geisel.

- No students from Budapest were able to attend ILA this year. Please join the committee however at the International Cultural Sharing night July 17th and meet students from our other sister cities. Bring cookies or brownies to share. See calendar for details.

- The group is busy interacting with 4 Toluca interns here for two months. Two are working in the Sister Cities office - Matsu Shimizu and Benjamin Miranda who are engineering students at the TEC de Monterrey. Lorena Alarcon Herrera and Eduardo Siqueiros, theater students at TEC de Monterrey are interning at Artes de la Rosa's summer theater camp.
- 10 Toluca facilitators will serve in the classroom during Jr. ILA and then join the high school ILA program. Also attending ILA will be another 15 youth and 2 teacher.
- Bring your favorite cookies to share at the dessert reception July 17th and meet all our international guests.

- Special thanks to the June youth group that just returned from Mbabane where they shared our culture by painting a mural in the Central library in Swaziland and visiting schools and care point centers.
- 5 high schools students, 1 alum and a teacher will attend ILA. Thank you to the members of the BELA organization (Black Ecumenical Leaders Alliance) for their continued sponsorship of scholarships for the Mbabane students.
- Meet our Swazi youth and teacher on July 17th at the dessert reception and cultural program. Bring your favorite cookies to share.

- The first youth exchange to Guiyang just returned with many memorable experiences and new friends. Check out our FaceBook page for postings and photos of their experience.
- Guiyang is sending 10 students and 2 teachers and staff from their City International Affairs office for ILA. Xiexie to all host families who are sharing their homes. Join us in welcoming them at the cultural presentations on July 17th . See calendar for details.
- Sign up by July 16th to attend the international teacher workshop - Global Fluency in the Classroom - and meet teachers from our sister cities who will make presentations on education in their countries.

- Congratulations to all summer Associate Delegation Leaders who recently returned from their adventures in Mbabane, Swaziland; Guiyang, China; and Nagaoka, Japan.
- We are all so thrilled to have 12 university student interns working in our office this summer including 3 international interns from Toluca, Mexico and one from South Korea. The Sister Cities office is buzzing with activity and excitement and these interns are very much appreciated for their hard work.
