  • Grazie Mille to the FW Ambassadors during the Reggio 25th celebration led by Council members Scarth and Hicks, Board Chair Brad Mahon and Committee Chair Dr. Bonnie Melhart.
  • Bring a bottle of wine to share and join the group for a photo sharing dinner party to hear about upcoming events this month. Italian appetizers will be hosted. Bring a friend.
  • Culinary School from Reggio is coming in 2012. Get details at the meeting.


  • The Trier group welcomes Trier Cathedral organist and music director Mr. Martin Bambauer to Fort Worth. He will perform for the community at Broadway Baptist Church as well as St. Vincent's Church in Bedford. He will spend time with other organists and organ builders while in Fort Worth. Many thanks to the American Guild of Organists for hosting his reception and assisting in planning activities.

  • Domo Arigato to the Nagaoka group volunteers and to all the hosting families from J.P. Elder, William James, and Fort Worth Academy Middle Schools for all their support during the September Middle School ambassador exchange program. We appreciate you.
  • Nagaoka group members are volunteering at the Japanese Fall Festival. See calendar for details.

  • The Bandung group will be hosting a group of firefighters coming to Fort Worth in November. Join the group at the October meeting to see how you can get involved. Volunteers are still needed.

  • The Budapest group has a very special event this month. Join the membership (and bring a friend or two) to hear "When the Danube Ran Red" author Zsuzsanna Ozsvath speak about her experience in Budapest during the Holocaust. Copies of her book will be available for sale and to be signed. See calendar for details.


  • Join the group for dinner at Mama Mia's during the tri-lateral meeting with Reggio and Mbabane this month. Appetizers will be hosted and bring your wine to share as they announce the upcoming events and exchanges for the year.
  • Toluca's Chamber of Commerce will be coming early December to explore business opportunities. Stay tuned for details.
  • Twenty university engineering students from Tech de Monterrey Campus Toluca are coming late March and we need home host families and day hosts as they visit business sites with their professors. Contact Beth for hosting information.


  • The group will join up with the Toluca & Reggio groups to celebrate international cultures at the October meeting.   Bring a friend and learn about the upcoming local programs.
  • Thanks to Downtown Rotary for awarding Sister Cities $1000 to set up a " Rotary Reading Corner" at the Central Library for children in Mbabane.
  • Mbabane Service Adventure is being planned in June 2012 and includes painting murals, working with child care point centers and an enriched cultural program, tours and safari. Program includes 2 days in Johannesburg, South Africa. Exchange is open to adults and youth, limited to 20. Applications are available on website, deposit due by Dec.1st.

Fort Worth Youth International

  • Join the group Oct.9 for "Taste Around the World' and enjoy foods, photo show, learn about spring & summer exchanges to Fort Worth's sister cities and the inaugural exchange to China.
  • Local community service projects will be discussed, a culinary class, New Year's skype with youth from sister cities, and a spring kite festival.
  • Exchange applications are available on website, deadline is Oct.21st.

Emerging Leader Network (The Net)

  • The NET will be interviewing candidates for the Associate Delegation Leader positions this month. There is also a scholarship available for one qualified applicant. Deadline is Monday, Oct. 17th. Recipient to be announced at the annual meeting in December.
