2008 seemed to fly by. Challenges in the economy affected us all, and now we look forward optimistically to a new year. We've been consulting with some of the best minds in the business and we're anticipating our Financial Round Table discussion at the Annual Meeting in February.

In 2009, we're committed to strengthening the NACDB brand because we are the best national voice for Church Design Build. Here are some of the ways we're working:

GROWING TREND

The NACDB is proud to announce the continuance we are seeing in the growth of our Members. For the second straight year we have grown at an astronomical rate. While it doesn't come as a surprise due the quality members that we attract, it is something to get excited about. Our Members span the country with offices in several states.

We encourage you to recommend our organization to like-minded companies you do business with that would be interested in helping the church.

SEACOAST CHURCH:
THE MULTI-SITE CHURCH REVOLUTION

For the fourth in a series of "field-trip seminars" cond­­­ucted by the education committee of the NACDB our Members had the opportunity to visit Seacoast Church in South Carolina.

In 2006 and 2007, Seacoast was named one of the most influential churches in the nation in a survey of more than 2,000 non-Roman Catholic church leaders. The church also ranks in the top 50 in Outreach Magazine's annual ranking of the country2007 Award Winners Headliner's fastest-growing churches.

Find the irony in the fact that Seacoast might not rank on either list if not for a major blow in 2001 when the town of Mount Pleasant denied a request to expand on its site.

So Seacoast looked outward.

CCC WAS A SUCCESS!

Again! Record attendance from our Members. The class of potential Certified Church Consultants met at the NACDB offices September 22nd - 24th. Business developers, marketing gurus, architects, a/v experts, church renovators as well as design builders made up this year's class.

LEED ACCREDITED MEMBERS

In today's economy, it's more important to achieve sustainability in our design build projects. We commend the following Members who have passed the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional Exam. A LEED AP is recognized as an expert in the field of sustainable design. Congratulations!
