Summer is almost here and the weather has been just wonderful! I must say that things have been wonderful at KYB as well. We are thrilled to see so many of you starting to practice on a regular basis; we thank you for sharing your stories of growth and transformation with us. And, we

Summer Solstice 1/2 Day Celebration with Siri Bani Kaur and Gurusangat Singh

Summer Solstice is one of the most powerful times of the year. This workshop will celebrate the Summer Solstice and focus the energy of the longest day of the year into our lives in collective consciousness. This is a sacred time to create inner peace, stillness, and balance. In this special evening event KYB Co-founder Siri Bani Kaur and KYB teacher and musician, and base player for the GuruGanesha Band, Gurusangat Singh will guide you through an afternoon and evening of bliss.
Together we will uplift our spirits with Kundalini Yoga kriyas, meditation, gong, mantra and end the evening with soul nourishing Kirtan.

Eating Like a Yogi: Vegan and Vegetarian Cooking Class with Siri Bani Kaur
To complement your yoga practice and help students make a transition to healthy whole foods eating habits, Kundalini Yoga Boston now offers vegetarian and vegan cooking classes. In this class we will be focusing on learning recipes that cleanse and energize the body, mind and spirit! Classes will be offered at Siri Bani Kaur's home so class size is small by design. Our small class size will allow each student to participate in the creation of delicious juices, salads, entrees and desserts.

Kundalini Yoga and the Meridian System: Balancing Heaven and Earth with Shelley Loheed and Daniel Orlansky
|
Join Kundalini Yoga teacher Shelley Loheed, and Meridian Yoga teacher Daniel Orlansky, as we explore the relationship of specific meridians and kundalini energy. First, through stretching with a partner and acupressure massage, we will open the meridians of the lower body, connecting us to the earth, and the meridians of the upper body, connecting us to heaven. Then, we will deepen the experience with a Kundalini Yoga set, moving from the physical body to the energy body. We will end the workshop with a specific meditation to balance Heaven and Earth energies within ourselves, followed by a relaxing Thai Yoga massage.

  HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE KUNDALINI YOGA AND MEDITATION?
Recently, a few students have asked me how often they should practice yoga. I can tell you that some students attend class almost every day. When I started practicing yoga I attended class once a week, then twice, then three times a week. Finally my teacher recommended a daily practice. I can tell you that practicing daily has changed my life! I accomplish so much more by being relaxed and balanced. I noticed that the more often I moved my body in different and interesting kinds of ways I became stronger, happier and much healthier. How often you practice yoga and meditation is an individual decision so find the right rhythm for you, but if you are looking for a recommendation, I suggest practicing in a group class at least three times a week. There's nothing like practicing Kundalini Yoga in a group setting. The energy exchanged is palpable and it uplifts and elevates all those in the class (including the teacher) and that energy can be felt long after class ends.
