Al-Amal Teams Win Awards at MN State Science Fair

Al-Amal School took part in the MN State Science Fair 2012. It was an enriching experience for the students to compete with 500 others finalists at the state science fair.
The following Al-Amal School students won the awards:
Fatuma Qorane (10th Grade): "2012 Navy Award"
Mahmoud Mire and Ahmed Idris (10th Grade): "2012 Regional Ricoh Sustainable Development Award"
Rahema Rashid (8th Grade): "State Science and Engineering Fair: 2012 Best 8th Grade Research Paper"

Rahema Rashid after receiving the award The following groups were also recognized by the US Army, Navy, and Air Force for their participation in the Junior Science and Humanities Symposium at the 2012 Minnesota State Science Fair. High school students who make it through two initial rounds of judging participate in this symposium and present their research. The groups are:
* Suboohi Khan and Sidhra Musani (9th Grade) * Jouman Hamade, Erum Osman, and Sarah Siddiqui (9th Grade)

We wish the best of luck to the Al-Amal teams that will be competing in the international I-SWEEP competition and the national Broadcom Masters in coming weeks.
