Ben Bram- Singer Shout Out
Ben

We are excited to welcome Ben Bram as our arranger for the 45th Wisconsin Singers Anniversary season. Ben, a USC graduate, comes to Singers with an impressive resumé, having most recently worked as vocal coach and arranger for Glee, The Sing Off, and Modern Family.  His background includes writing for LA's Powerhouse show choir.

Deke Sharon of the Sing-Off says of Ben, "His tireless efforts were a significant factor in the success of the Sing-Off, and he was a pleasure to work with at all times. His work is of the highest caliber, and I would gladly work with him again in the future."

Greetings!

There are a lot of Singer shows this month. Make sure to check out the schedule so you don't miss a show near you.

The Singers are always looking for new performance venues. If you have any contacts with schools, performing arts centers, alumni chapters or anyone else looking for some killer entertainment, don't be afraid to let us know. We are eager to showcase our talents to any audience, and are already booking dates for our 45th anniversary season!

And don't be surprised to be hearing from one of our Singers personally. We have been busy making calls to all our alumni and friends. We are making a strong effort to reengage with all of our alums and reconnect them with the program. We are all part of the same family at the end of the day. :)

I hope everyone enjoys the final home stretch of winter. It's almost over!

Jenna Severson, Engagement Coordinator.

Wisconsin Singers Members Help Out in a Lady GaGa YouTube Sensation!

Members of the Wisconsin Singers have recently joined forces with the "It Gets Better Project." Colton Boettcher enlisted the help of Bryce Malstedt to create a YouTube video that targeted high school bullying. Bryce created the choreography and recruited other Singers to dance in the video. This YouTube video became an instant, overnight hit and can be viewed here. (It won't be hard to pick out the Singers.)

The "It Gets better Project" focuses primarily on kids who are being picked on for their sexuality. This project is in response to a recent spike in teenage suicides around the country. The "It Gets Better Project" tell kids that even though things can seem pretty bad in the moment, it will get better in the future.

Program Staff- Another Element of Singers

Program Staff

Last month you met the business team, but that is not the only team working for the Singers. The Program Staff is also hard at work behind the scenes. They are making sure all the programs look fantastic and that students on campus know how truly incredible the Singers really are. Here are the faces that help make the Singers successful on campus!

Singer Spotlight- Bryce Mahlstedt

Bryce Mahlstedt got involved with music at a young age. He took piano lessons as a kid and had always loved to sing and dance. No one was surprised to see Bryce shine on stage throughout middle school and high school choir concerts. Then one day the Wisconsin Singers came to perform at Bryce's high school and he instantly knew he had to be part of this organization. Now Bryce is a junior and dance captain for the Singers.

Bryce came to the Singers with a strong dance background, but was able to improve his dancing even more.
