Alumni Spotlight -

Greg Schultz (1967- 1973)

It was fate that brought Greg Schultz to the Wisconsin Singers. One day Greg took a spring walk by Music Hall. He accidentally heard the "awesome sound" of the original 24-cast member's very first On-Campus show. After that, he just knew that he had to be part of what was then known as the University Singers. He auditioned as a tenor in May 1967, and was asked by director Don Neuen to fill the vacancy created by a non-returning Singer. This series of events Schultz says "changed my life.

Greetings!

It is November, and finally time to finish up rehearsals and put
"Star Struck" on the road and around the country full time. It is no secret that our On-Campus show is coming up, and trust me, you won't want to miss this one.  With the beautiful facility at the Overture, the great tech work and the Badger crowd of thousands, it will definitely be a show to remember.

I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving! This is a great month to be with family and friends, which is something the Singers have always cherished.

On Wisconsin!

Jenna Severson, Engagement Coordinator.

Hayward High School and the Wisconsin Singers

Georgi Edgington has been part of the music program at Hayward High School for 21 years. She has seen the ups and the downs of music in high school education, but no matter the situation, Georgi always finds a way to make room in her schedule for the Wisconsin Singers.

The Singers have been making the five-hour drive to perform at Hayward High School for the past 15 years. The troupe brings the type of show to the area that the school just doesn't offer. There is no glee club, show choir, or anything of that nature, so the students potentially would not get to see all the musical opportunities out there.

Proud Wisconsin Singer's Parents

The Wisconsin Singers are used to being in the limelight, but it is time to shine some of that light on the parents behind the scenes. Shannon Keeling has been with the Wisconsin Singers for two years. Her mother, Lynn Keeling, has already seen progress in Shannon's performance as well as the Wisconsin Singer's show this year.

A Sneak Peek at this Year's Show

Every year the Wisconsin Singers pick a theme for their show. This year's theme is "Star Stuck" and it will pay tribute to some of pop culture's biggest stars, and will include songs that everyone will immediately recognize and be able to sing along with. From The Fame by Lady Gaga to Singin' In the Rain by Gene Kelly, everyone will find something they enjoy.
