Our New Journal!

The IFSP Executive Board is pleased to announce our journal partnership with a long-standing IFSP member, the Sports Physical Therapy Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. We have agreed to adopt the NAJSPT as the official journal of the International Federation of Sports Physiotherapy. To reflect the international focus of this Journal, the name of the publication was changed to the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy, beginning with Volume 6, Number 1 on March 1, 2011.

IJSPT graphics

The IJSPT is a peer-reviewed journal reviewing manuscripts that relate to all aspects of sports physical therapy for possible publication. Although all manuscripts will be reviewed, preference will be given to evidence-based papers with strong clinical content that will immediately affect the daily clinical practice of the sports physical therapist. The IJSPT supports the protection of human subjects and requires Institutional Review Board approval and informed consent of subjects.

IJSPT is indexed in PubMed, CINAHL and Sports Discus.

We believe that this partnership will allow our organization, as the official sports physical therapy subgroup of the World Confederation of Physical Therapy, to continue to advance our specialty through the peer-review publication process around the globe.

Three subscription options are available to IFSP member organizations for participation in the IJSPT project. Please take an active role in supporting our partnership with the Sports Physical Therapy Section and the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Sports Physical Therapy.

Option 1: Membership Benefit Subscription Plan

The IFSP Member Organization financially underwrites the cost of IJSPT subscriptions for its entire membership or is willing to include the cost of the IJSPT subscription as a mandatory part of their annual dues structure.

Option 2: Membership Option Subscription Plan

The Member Organization will collect subscription fees as part of their annual dues process, with subscribing to IJSPT as an optional transaction.

Option 3: Membership Promotion Subscription Plan

The Member Organization will promote IJSPT to its membership through print and on-line publications. Subscriptions will be processed directly between the individual member and IJSPT

through the Journal website.
