The Mission Hospice Society - its employees and the Board of Directors are pleased to announce that we have been awarded the
Non-Profit Organization of the Year 2011 for Mission, B.C.
At the Business Excellence Awards ceremony on Friday 21 October at the Best Western, our Executive Director, Jane Cooper thanked the Chamber of Commerce for this amazing honour and also introduced the staff, Kimberley Thompson, Bereavement Coordinator and Chris Boyes, Coordinator of Volunteers and Ronda Cushnie, Administrative Assistant as well as the Board Members that were present: Charlotte Fetterly, Ruth Fearn, Marla McMullen, Sandi Pughe, Sean Melia and thanked them for coming through a very difficult year to achieving this highly esteemed honour.
Jane thanked the community for their support through our fundraising efforts in order to provide services to our community. She also mentioned that we are all proud of our Christine Morrison Hospice which is located at the Mission Memorial Hospital of which we have over 100 volunteers.
