Sharing a Rosh Hashanah Message
|
King David students and faculty came together on Friday to prepare for the High Holidays. | |
Delicious symbolic treats!
| Ms. Watson led her student chefs to make some of the most creative and tasty dishes out of the traditional Jewish symbolic foods for this time of year. If it is any indication of the future, we are sure to have a sweet, creative and tasty new year. Thank you, Ms. Watson! | |
Solly, Grade 12, blows the shofar at the end of the assembly.

Rabbi Bregman joined our school celebration to share a Rosh Hashanah message.

Think Higher, Feel Deeper and Give Generously
|
As we enter the final days before Yom Kippur and complete the process of Tshuva, we are reminded of Professor Elie Wiesel who urged our youth and community to "think higher and feel deeper." King David High School aims to do just that! Through its nurturing and supportive environment, students are encouraged to take risks, explore new ideas and challenge themselves cognitively, physically and socially. Since its inception, King David has worked with its dedicated staff, administration and board on improving the quality of education to meet the needs of 21st Century learners while upholding the traditions of our Jewish heritage and community. As each of us considers our Tzedakah for this year, let us put King David High School at the top of our list. You can support King David by making a donation to Federation AND one of our program funds: - Make a Gift to the Federation - If you are a first time donor, you may designate up to 75% of your gift to KDHS. If you have donated in the past, you can allocate 75% of your increase over your last donation to our school. Last year we received over $10,000 in additional funds from Federation supporters who designated King David.
- Support King David High School - Every gift is an expression of confidence in the King David experience and an important building block in strengthening our foundation of excellence. Your gift enhances King David's ability to provide a stimulating, safe and warm environment that challenges each child and develops our students into caring, curious, confident citizens of the world.
Please give generously! Together with your support, we can raise a generation of Jewish youth who think higher and feel deeper.
Wishing you and your family
a Shana Tova and Gmar Hatima Tova.

Uniform Reminder
|
All families are reminded that as of October 3rd all students must be in full compliance of our school uniform policy.
This includes having all-black shoes, skirts of appropriate length (2-3" above the knee) and all required uniform pieces. Please ensure that your student is in the appropriate uniform as we want them all in class learning with their teachers and peers. Families needing to order uniform items should contact Cambridge and Company immediately to ensure timely delivery. A copy of the KDHS uniform policy is included in the Parent Handbook and is available at the school office.
