This term, the Grade 9 Drama class has begun exploring Commedia Dell'arte - an Italian theatre style developed in the 16th Century. Commedia uses a number of stock characters to tell short, improvised stories, usually revolving around money or love gone wrong. Some of the masked characters include Pantalone - a creepy and rich old-man, the Captain - a self-absorbed soldier who is actually a coward, and Zanni - an absent minded and lovable servant. Stay tuned for upcoming performances!
