Lee County Contractors Wanted

With 170 foreclosed or abandoned homes acquired for the NSP, the Lee County Department of Human Services has been working with over 35 different contractors on the rehabilitation of these properties.
All current or prospective contractors have to attend the mandatory annual General Contractor's Workshops. The 2012 workshops are coming up, so this is a good time for Southwest Florida contractors to consider working for Lee County.
The Lee County Housing Services Program is looking for licensed and insured General, Building and Residential contractors to participate in the County's current housing rehab and weatherization programs, including the NSP. Section 3, minority and women-based contractors are encouraged to attend.
Attendance at ONE of the available workshops is MANDATORY for ALL EXSISTING and NEW contractors and you must attend in order to bid or continue to bid on Housing Services' projects. Contractors will be placed on the approved general contractors list upon full attendance by one or more of the following from the contractor's company: owner, officer, or project manager.
Contractors and interested firms are required to attend the workshop on Wednesday, October 3rd, 2012 OR onWednesday, October 17th, 2012. Doors open and sign-in begins at 7:45 a.m. and the workshop will start promptly at 8:00 a.m.
Please select which date you would like to attend (presence required for one workshop only) and RSVP to Jeannie Sutton at 239-533-7926 or per email.
