Greetings!
Happy New Year to all of our faithful followers and members, we hope you're enjoying the start to another year and looking forward to some new experiences while traveling the globe! With Central America as our theme this month we have some amazing new places for you to experience...
Did you know that Coffee was brought into Costa Rica from Cuba by a Spanish traveler, Navarro, in 1779? Surprisingly it is not their native plant but you can experience the coffee culture in this beautiful country by visiting the Finca Rosa Blanca Coffee Plantation & Inn. Or perhaps you're dreaming of a private luxury home in the jungle on the beach...Latitude 10 Resort was built as a private resort and is now available to the public. As the winner of the 2008 Grand Award in the International Class for second homes, the resort leaves nothing to be desired in luxury and elegance in its natural setting, providing interaction with the jungle and its beachfront location.
What about lounging on your own private island? Jicaro Island Ecolodge is Nicaragua's most upscale nature resort located on a private island in Lake Nicaragua. The lodge is located just a short boat ride from the colonial town of Granada with spectacular views of the Mombacho Volcano across the lake. Nine private casitas serve as the perfect setting for romantic escapes, activities and active exploration and wellness retreats.
Enjoy dreaming as you peruse through these new properties and don't forget to let your dreams become a reality!
Cheers,

...Costa Rica
By Therese Eley, Director of Member Services
Boasting a higher bio-diversity than Europe and the United States combined, in a land mass smaller than that of West Virginia, makes Costa Rica an ideal eco-destination. While the country has only about .25% of the world's landmass, it contains 5% of the world's biodiversity! From soaring volcanoes and cloud forests to quaint villages and stunning tropical beaches, it's quite easy to cover a lot of ground, without having to cover a lot of ground. This small Central American gem is so packed with a splendid array of bio-diversity, it makes for the perfect destination for nature lovers to explore.
Here are 10 of Costa Rica's top eco-attractions:
1.Monteverde Cloud Forest Ecotourism abounds in this iconic cloud forest, home of the Maya bird of paradise, the quetzal. Here it is not uncommon to find organic farms featuring alternative energy sources, honouring the area's tradition of protecting and preserving the area's natural beauty.

Our Recommendation

Latitude 10 Exclusive Beach Resort - Santa Teresa, Costa Rica Have you ever dreamed of staying in your own private tropical resort right on the beach?
Tucked amongst the native vegetation, lie Latitude 10's five casitas. Each private bungalow is uniquely and luxuriously appointed, with its own personality and vibe.
The private casitas are constructed from almond wood and decorated with local art and handiwork. You might find an easel with a painting propped in the corner, or a coconut broken in half and filled with sand and tea lights, or a ladder made with bamboo set against the bathroom wall. Each room has its own treasures for you to discover and enjoy.
The casitas were designed and built by a local architect without any trees being cut down. The wooden structures have shades but no windows and there are no locks on the doors. The bathrooms are completely open-air with large hot water showers and gardens. It is more than a lovely room, it is a structure enabling you to sleep and reside completely in harmony with nature.
Porches with cozy chairs and hammocks, ceiling fans, safe deposit boxes, and a twice-daily housekeeping service add to your comfort. In the evening, we will pull down the shades, light candles, burn incense, and dim the lights. Our turndown service paired with the sounds of nature provides a very tranquil and very Costa Rican experience.

What our Members are saying...

"The Aria in Las Vegas rocked!! Unbelievable - we had the best time!!!
The limo service was great, as was the reception - felt like a rock star. Private entrance and reception - even security between the hotel and casino only letting in Sky Suite customers. The Sky Suites are incredible - beautiful rooms and set up. Everything is automated - blackout curtains, rooms lights and settings. The casinos, restaurants, etc. are really well laid out and connected to the hotel - and very elegant. And the staff were more than helpful and friendly. I can't say enough good things about it, really. So much so we want to go back!!!"
