For most of you who don't know, the Discovery Club is a sister business to the Oak Bay Beach Hotel located in Victoria BC. The Hotel is currently under construction and will open its doors in March of 2012, as Vancouver Island's first 5-star hotel.
One of the ways to be a part of this iconic landmark is with a Discovery Club membership. As a member should you stay at the Hotel you will be treated over and above the regular guest experience. As such we have begun to go on the road to detail this relationship in order to promote both the Discovery Club and the Oak Bay Beach Hotel.
Our team along with newest Club member Kelly Hrudey will be presenting 3 events in the near future in Edmonton (October 28th), Calgary (November 4th), and Vancouver (November 18th).

It took me 28 years but I finally arrived at a place that felt like home. It was as if I could feel the pulse of the entire world originating at this one location. The Subway lines were like arteries with this global beat rippling out into the rest of the world. The grass was as green as it could possibly get here and I didn't need to look at the other side. I had met my match with this mega city and the thrill of the chase was on.
The object of my affection was none other than New York City.
Having lived in or visited many cities of similar size I had all the variables to make my comparisons. London while charming with her niceties of British history lacked the cohesion of cultures. Tokyo the vision of urban perfection did not have the raw street appeal. Shanghai with her modern fusion of Maoist ideals and western consumption fell short on life after dark. Sydney stuns you with idyllic beach sunsets but seems far away from a globalized world. The Big Apple feels like it is the definition of what an International city should be and delivers on every level...
