Dear (Contact First Name), The grapes are in! I have waded through the piles of mail and bills on my desk, only to find that my computer still works. The last five weeks have been intense and intensely filled with cellar duties for me. Bob and I have been working side by side with too many late nights where there's just "one more thing to do" before quitting time. (There is much talk about "harvest widows" but we have a "harvest orphan". Special thanks to Emily for her patience and help :) The results of our labors are quite rewarding for such a difficult harvest. We still have cellar duties galore but things have settled down a little.
Our next big project is the Wine & Food Affair on November 6th & 7th. We will be serving Beef Bourguignon featuring our newly released 2008 "Emily's Cuvée" Pinot Noir. This is a terrific event filled with wonderful food & wine pairings along the Wine Road. Please click on the following link to see more details......... 12th Annual Wine & Food Affair As a reminder, our tasting room is now open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11-4. No appointment necessary unless you are bringing a group of 5 or more. We do request a $10 per person tasting fee which is refundable with a wine purchase. Hope to see you soon!
Best regards, Lori Mueller

Mueller Harvest 2010..... 20 Vintages
The 2010 Harvest marks the 20th vintage for Mueller wines. The first wine marketed under the Mueller brand was our 1991 "LB" Chardonnay. 1994 marked the addition of our "Emily's Cuvée" Pinot Noir. We've added Syrah, Pinot Gris and Zinfandel to the lineup over the years. Although we've grown considerably from our original 315 case production, we're still considered "tiny" at only 3,500 cases per year. Each harvest has included friends and relatives who have donated their time to produce our lovingly cared for wines. This year Lori's brother, Don, covered the first half of the harvest as the "Ice Man" and "Pumpover Master". For the second half, Lori took over his duties and stepped into the position of "Pumpover Queen". (You haven't lived until you've wrestled with hoses in a cold cellar!) Emily, who is now 16, was called upon this year to help with Brix and temperature measurements, as well as filling barrels with Chardonnay. Throughout the harvest, Winemaker Bob remains calm. This year, Bob performed every single punchdown as well as orchestrating the entire crush. The 2010 Harvest was a tough one due to the late start and early rains. We are delighted to say that we brought in everything we planned and are thrilled with the quality of the fruit. We're looking forward to watching its development and are planning a very long nap soon!
