THE GENIE IN THE BOTTLE
"Imagination is everything. It is preview of life's coming attractions." Albert Einstein
Back in the late 1950's the Chinese Koreans were very successful in changing the minds of a very large number of American POW's to believe in their "religion", what we call communist. These were soldiers who were highly trained to give their name, rake and serial number only.
What the Chinese understood was that a person's behavior is a direct result of what that person believes they are-our SELF IMAGE. So without any threat of torture or promise or rewards, they used a simply way to change the soldier's SELF IMAGE.
What they did was to interrupter their way of thinking by persuading them to make either one or two mild anti American statements, (like we were not perfect) or a mild pro-communist one (they have less crime).
Now once they got the soldier to make this minor statements, they would ask them to write down exactly how we were not perfect. Then later after he was weary and worn down they would have him sign his name to this list.
Then not only would they have him read this statement to fellow POW's but they would print it and send it to other POW camp, they would also read it for propaganda.
That plus the way other POW threat this soldier, was more then enough to make him change his "religion" and become a communist.
There was a great chess player by the name of Capablanca who was though to be UNBEATABLE, because he was more superior at the game than anyone had ever known or seen before. However he was beating by a little know player by the name of Alekhine, who did not even play one real game of chess during the three months before the match.
To be totally honest, he did get away for three month, gave up smoking and drinking plus he did a lot of exercised. Oh and he did play thousands of game in his mind which he won doing this time. (Reader's Digest April 1955)
Before March 6 1954, when Roger Bannister ran the 1st four-minute mile, a great many noted scientists actually said that, "the human body would EXPLODE if push to do a four-minute mile."
Here is the amazing part, once this GENIE WAS LET OUT OF THE BOTTLE, within a year THIRTY SEVEN other people had did a mile in four-minutes and the next year THREE-HUNDRED, broke what was though to be a impenetrable barrier.
When NASA was working on putting the 1st man on the moon, they had a huge picture of the moon covering the whole wall from floor to ceiling of their main area, where everyone could see it. Every day they were reminded of their GOAL. They reach it 2 years ahead of schedule.
What is this GENIE?
The GENIE was first discovered in the eighteenth century by a Austrian physician by the name of Anton Mesmer, and he called it:
'YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.'
Later in his book, Psycho-Cybernetics, Mawell Maltz, wrote that it was not your mind, but a "WONDERFUL GOAL-STRIVING MECHANISM of your brain and nervous system, that seeks to ACHIEVE the GOALS and IMAGES you created in your IMAGINATION." THAT ANYTHING YOU DO OR GET AND YOUR SELF IMAGE, IS FIRST CREATED IN YOUR MIND.
It is known that your subconscious never sleeps and it can not be idle. It's full time job is to be actively engaged in seeking what ever GOALS you CREAT IN YOUR IMAGINATION. And if there is something that you REALLY REALLY WANT, IT HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO GET IT FOR YOU. Keep in mind that it will also give you your negative wants also.
Alekhine, believed that he was the greatest chess player in the world and that he not only beat Capablanca at every game he play him (in his mind) that he would beat him when they meet for real.
Within 2 years after Bannister prove that the leading scientists were WRONG, over 300 people ran a four-minute mile. And later we also put a man on the moon.
Your subconscious is your OBEDIENT SERVANT, and as such will follow any PLAN, GOAL, or IMAGINTES THAT YOU FEED IT.
YOU ARE IN THE DRIVERS SEAT
