Everything you experience in life, the good, the bad and the ugly, both internally and externally are only the result of HOW YOU have responded to previous events.
You may have read that you only have total control over three areas of your life. That if you CHOOSE to control them, you will move you from where you are now, to where you want to go. If on the other hand you CHOOSE not to control any or all of them, YOU WILL GO WHERE THE WINDS OF TIME WILL BLOW YOU. Although this is TRUE, and these three area are the best starting point, to CHANGING YOUR LIFE. THERE IS MORE YOU CAN DO!!
These are as follows STARTING points to a better LIFE:
Your thought are like a boat or a ship, in that they can carry you any were in the world. What type and size, of your boat (your images) is under your control also. If your image is of a small row boat, then your thoughts as to where you are going will be limited by the small size of your boat. If you have a BIG SHIP, then you will have BIG THOUGHTS and you can go any were.
Now all of your past thoughts, images actions and non actions have you sitting in the water at this time in either a boat or a ship. But your past does not have to be your future, you can CHOOSE to stay in what you have now or move to something bigger.
This is were MOST people have a problem, they are in their comfort zone. In a past Colada I wrote about the law of physics telling us, that a body in motion will stay in motion unless acted on by a outside force. When you or I have been touch by this force or enlightenment there was a CHANGE in our THINKING, ACTIONS AND LIFE.
This enlightenment or outside force may have been something that was said, ie "if you don't stop...........you will end up just like so and so" and we stopped. We may have been doing what ever it was for years, (in motion), but those words, stopped us COLD TURKEY from what ever it was we were doing, and we will not do that again.
This outside force may have been something we seen, a bad accident that now has you putting on your seat belt. A out of control person on drug or alcohol that made you said "I will never be like that person." You may have had a fear or something, and now you know that there is nothing to fear. What ever it was, in a a instant YOU CHANGE.
The word to best describe this is SATORI, which means enlightenment In LIFE or your self talk, you see or hear something and the light come on (enlightenment) and you say AR..HA. "What I have been doing is WRONG FOR ME", AND YOU STOP. This is the MORE YOU CAN DO.
I seen a poster that read:
"LIFE IS A TEST. IT IS ONLY A TEST
HAD THIS BEEN A REAL LIFE YOU
WOULD HAVE BEEN INSTUCTED
WHERE TO GO AND WHAT TO DO."
What CHANGES do you think you could make if you looked at all of your challenges, responsibilities and hurdles NOT AS PROBLEMS, but AS A TEST?
If you were always asking yourself, 'Why is this a ISSUE NOW IN MY LIFE?' or 'Could I possibly LOOK at this ISSUE any DIFFERENTLY?' Would your outcome be different then the last time you face this same issue? I would say YES.
