DO YOU HAVE IT OR NOT?

Some of the problems in the world today, is that unless you have a TITLE, most people will look down on you. Your TITLE, suggest that YOU have achieved a position of prestige, power and privilege.
But are TITLES really that POWERFUL? Being that most company's find it cheaper and easier to give someone a 'IMPORTANT-SOUNDING TITLE,' then to pay them more money. And we know that a horses A.. , will still be a horses A.. with a title of CEO, MANANGE, PRESIDENT, or what ever, and if that person is disliked, them others will just ignore him or her, TITLE OR NO TITLE.
To be a LEADER, you do not need a TITLE, because LEADERSHIP IS ALL ABOUT INFLUENCE, not your name on the door. You can be a LEADER at home, at work, in your house of worship, your community or state. You can be the LEADER backstage, or up front, getting paid or as a volunteer.
Shouldn't you be the LEADER for your family to follow, as well as their HERO? A LEADER is someone that won't make a difference THEY ARE THE DIFFERENCE.
Churchill was but one man, who's life had many ups and down, until he was call on by his country to be their LEADER doing WW 2. His LEADERSHIP help save his country and the WORLD.
LEADERS,make things better not just for themselves but for others. They do what is RIGHT whether they get a financial reward or public recognition or NOT.
Here are a few KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF A TRUE LEADER:

They TRULY believe they can shape their own lives and careers.

They LEAD though their relationship with people, as opposed to their control over them.

They Collaborate rather then CONTROL.

They PERSUAED others to contribute, rather then order them to.

They get other to follow them out of RESPECT and COMMITMENT rather then FEAR and COMPLIANCE.
Where do YOU stand on this list? Where do YOU see area that you can impove on to be the TRUE LEADER THAT I KNOW YOU CAN BE? What areas can you improve on to have the greatest impact on the world around you.
When you got out of bed this morning, (I hope not on auto pilot) and looked in the mirror, did you say "Today, I am going to CHANGE the world."? I would say that you probably did not, and ask WHY NOT?
Here is the UGLY TRUE, you do change the HISTORY of the world every day, not only for yourself, but your family, your employees or employer the community the country and the world by WHAT YOU DO OR NOT DO TODAY.
Do you see life as a OBLIGATION OR A OPPORTUNITY? When the phone rings on your desk are you OBLIGATED to ask it or is it OPPORUNITY RINGING? The difference is not the caller or the purpose for the call, but the difference in YOUR RESONSE.
LEADERS SEE OPPORTUNITYS. They do not intact with the world because they have to. THEY DO SO BECAUSE THEY WANT TO.
Understand this, to truly lead and make a DIFFERENCE in the wold, YOU MUST always START WITH YOURSELF.
