THE PRICE

"I learned that the only way you are going to get anywhere in life is to work HARD at it. Whether you're a musician, a writer, an athlete, or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do you WIN, if you don't you won't." Bruce Jenner

To be a LEADER, to CHANGE, TO BODLY GO WITH YOU HAVE NEVER GONE BEFORE, you have to be willing to pay the PRICE. What is the PRICE, you might ask?

I DO NOT KNOW. You may have to put some part of your life on hold as you pursuer something else, walk away from the safety of your current situation, put up your money, swallow your pride, move, or just Work HARDER.

What ever it is, if you want to CHANGE then you MUST have the willingness to do what ever is required, in the face of setbacks, challenges, pain and rejection,TO REACH YOUR OUTCOME.

You may not know this but U.S. Senator Bill Bradley from New Jersey was an amazing baseball player. He scored over 3000 points in 4 years of high school, was an all-American at Princeton, won a gold medal in the 1964 Olympics. Played with the NBA Champion New York Knicks and has was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

Was he lucky? NO, HE WORK VERY VERY HARD TO BE THE BEST. In high school he would spent 4 hours every day practicing. And from high school until he stop playing ball, he would not leave the court after practice until he had made 15 baskets in a row from the 5 points on the court, if he missed, he started over from the begin, until he made all 15 in a row from all the points, no and if or but.

Senator Bradley had lean the value of practice very early from St Louis Hawks, Ed Macauley aka 'Easy'. He had told Bill at a basketball summer camp.

"When you're not practicing, someone somewhere is. And when the two of you meet, given roughly equal ability....HE WILL WIN."

"Practicing every day are the steps, you must take to grow better." Jack Boston

"You've got to continue to grow, or you're just like last nights cornbread-stale and dry." Loretta Lynn

Did you know that M.Scott Peck author of the book 'The Road Less Traveled' only got a $5.000.00 advance for his book? They did not think the book would do to good. To fulfill his dream of becoming a great author, he did over 1000 interviews to promote his book in the first year alone and for the next 12 years he did a minimum of one interview every day. Did his HARD WORK pay off? What do you think.

This book holds the record of being on the New York Times Best Selling List for 540 weeks, it has sold over 10 million copy's in 20 languages.

How about this for hard work the book 'A Farewell to Arms' was rewrote by Hemingway 39 times, before he felt it was good enough.

Do you know who Michael Crichton is? He has won the Emmy and Peabody Awards. His books have sold over 100 MILLION copy's, in 30 languages, 12 were made into files, which he go to direct 7 of them. He is also the only person to have the number one hit movie, number one book and number one TV show in this country at the same time. STILL DON'T KNOW HIM?

Do you watch ER, how about Jurassic Park, or Congo, Twister,The Andromeda Strain, or maybe Westworld. All that plus more from Mr. Crichton, but he will be the first to tell you that one of the hardest thing to do is write and rewrite that book over and over to get it done right.

As you can see Paying the PRICE, is the willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done. YOU must draw the line in the sand. From this time on, no matter how long it takes, no matter what comes up, NO EXCUSES, IT'S A DONE DEAL. YOU ARE RESPONABLE FOR THE OUTCOME FROM THIS POINT ON.

"You will invest your LIFE in something, or you will THROW it away on Nothing." Hardon Robinson
