VISION
"To fly as fast as though, to be anywhere there is, you must first begin by knowing that you have already arrived." JLS Richard Bach
A mother spent most of the day watching her son playing baseball in the yard by himself. He would throw the ball in the air and swing the bat. Most of the time he would miss the ball. But he kept throwing the ball in the air, swing the bat and missing, throw the ball, swing the bat, miss, throw the ball, swing the bat, miss, throw the ball, swing the bat hit, throw the ball, swing the bat, miss.
When the father came home, the wife told him what the son was doing. The father looked out the window. There was the boy still, throwing the ball, swinging the bat and missing , throw the ball, swing the bat, hit, throw the ball, swing the bat, miss.
After about 10 minutes, the father could not take this any longer, he went out side and spend time showing his son, how to hold the bat. Telling him when and how to swing the bat to hit the ball. He was slowly throwing balls to make it easy for his son to hit. The boy seen to get the idea on how to hit the ball, so they both went into the house to eat.
The next day the mother looks out the window and sees her son, throwing the ball, swinging the bat and MISSING MOST OF THE TIME. She calls her husband at work and tells him what is going on. He leave work early and spends 2 hours slowly throwing the ball to his son and telling him when and how to hit the ball for a second time. The kid is hitting the ball 98% of the time. Dad is happy, Mon is happy, kids real glad to spend more time with dad.
Next day after school, Mon looks out the window and there her son, thrown the ball up in the air swinging the bat and STILL NOT HITTING THE BALL. She again calls her husband at work to tell him what is going on. At this time, (since they both know that he wants to play on the little league team) the dad not wanting his son to LOOK BAD playing ball, calls his friends and finds this great hitting coach.
On Saturday, the father pays this guy 150.00 dollars to spend 4 hours, teaching his son how to hit the ball. Sunday after church, the father takes his son to a real ball game, so his son can see and meet the BIG HITS.
Monday after school, Mon looks out and there is her son, still throwing the ball, swinging and MISSING, throw the ball, swing, MISS. She can not take this anymore. Once more, she calls her husband. He rushes home, here is his PRIDE AND JOY, WHO HAS HIS LITTLE HART SET ON MAKING THE TEAM, out in the yard, throwing the ball in the air SWINGING THE BAT AS HARD AS HE CAN......AND MISSING.
The father runs out and said, 'SON, what more can I do to help you learn how to hit the ball.' The son just looked at his father and said, 'dad I know how to hit the ball.' The father now confused, said, 'son for the last 2 weeks your mother and I have seen you throw the ball up in the air swing the bat and MISS. How can you tell me that you know how to hit it?'
The kids says, 'That was not me, MISSING THE BALLS, THAT WAS THE ME VISUALIZING THE OTHER KIDS, MISSING THE BALLS, THAT I WAS PITCHING.'
"I AM THE GREATS PITCHER IN THE WORLD."
Have you notice that as you get older, you have stopped VISUALIZING, stopped DREAMING, stopped looking at the world in WONDER? Why? Could it be that you let someone STEAL YOUR DREAMS.
Since your mind likes to see pictures, you have two choices. One: RERUNS, the other, COMING ATTACTIONS. Reruns are the IF ONLY (see pass COLADA two words) in your life, what happen in the pass. Backward thinking, looking in the REAR VIEW MIRROR OF YOUR LIFE.
COMING ATTACTIONS are your future. YOUR DREAMS.
If you were to put a picture on the mirror in your bathroom, and one on the steering wheel of your car of a brand new (what ever make, color etc.) car you wanted, and every time you looked at it, you VISUALISED you driving that car. Your great mind would start seeing that car every where, and go to work to find a way for you to own it.
Is this were you have another one of those, What are you talking about Jack moments? One study took 50 average basket ball players in high school and worked with them for 30 minutes on free throws. Half of the them took the ball and just shoot as many balls from the line as they could for the full 30 minutes
The other half went to a different part of the school and sat on the floor with a ball in their hand and for 30 minutes the just VISUATISED themselves at the line shooting the ball into the basket.
At the end of the time, both group were put on the line to shoot free baskets, the team that only VISUALISED as a whole did better then the group that shoot the ball.
Bill Gates DREAM of a world in which every home had a computer hooked to the internet and John Kennedy of putting a man on the moon. JLS Said, "the gull that fly higher.....sees the farthest."
YOU GET WHAT YOU EXPECT
Texas, doctors, put patients with worn-out sore knees into three groups. One received scraping out of the joints, one had them washing out. But the last group did not get anything at all. They were knock out and small cuts were done on the knees, to make it look like they were getting the operation, but that was all.
A few year later the patients that did not have anything done to them (they did not know this) had just about the same amount of relief as the one that did have the full operation.
You see, your mind take information that it receives and uses what it already has (previous experience true of false) and shows you what to anticipate next. And since most of the time we are on AUTO PILOT (see past COLADA). MOST of the time we get EXACILY WHAT WE ANTICIPATE.
