OBLIGATION OR OPPORTUNITY

      When walking in the woods one day, Robert Frost said that he encountered "two diverging roads, and by taking the one less traveled, his life was CHANGED, and that, was what made the different in his life." What he was saying was that, if you take the same well beaten easy road as everyone else, the road (of OBLIGATION), YOU WILL GET AVERAGE OR MEDIOCRE RESULTS."

     But to be UNIQUE, to BOLDLY GO WITH MOST WILL NOT, to work harder to designing YOUR LIFE, and to contribute something NEW.

One has to take a different (OPPORTUNITY) ROAD.

     If you look back at the past COLADA, E+R=O, every minute of every day, you come face to face with (E) "two diverging roads". The roads or EVENT may be as small as, do I spend 2.50 for a coffee, do I stop smoking now, do I answer the phone. Or big, Do I quit my job, move, get married, start a business etc.

    Your RESPONSE, which road will you travel, will give you a OUTCOME. Will your OUTCOME be average, mediocre or GREAT. What road (RESPONSE) will you take is YOUR CHOICE. IF you don't like the OUTCOME, NEXT TIME (past COLADA stop using IF ONLY and replace with NEXT TIME so that you well not be looking backward but going forward) take the other road, (change your RESPONSE) If you take the other road you will have a different OUTCOME.

     Do you make that sales call because you are OBLIGATED, to your boss or job? Did you cook for you family because you were OBLIGATED to them? Did you buy that gift, because they got you one and you were OBLIGATED? Did you go out to have that drink after work, or that smoke break with someone because you were OBLIGATED? What else are you doing because you feel that you are OBLIGATED TO DO?

     I believe it was Ben Franklin that said words to the affect "be not obligated to no man, hence you will not be his slave." You were not put here to be anyone slave, and you should not be a slave to anyone.

     Do you see that what you feel or see as your OBLIGATIONS to someone or something other then yourself, only makes you a slave and a puppet? And it is more then likely moving you down the easy or slip road to a OUTCOME that you have no CHOICE IN.

     Do you think that by taken a difference road, on that sales call will make a difference on your job and in your pay check? How about how you feel about cooking for your family or doing some of the other things in LIFE, BECAUSE YOU FEEL OBLIGATED TO DO THEM?

     Yes, taking a difference road, the one of OPPORTUNITY, will not only make a BIG, HUGE difference, but I dare say a happier LIFE.

     If you went on that sales call from the road of: This is a great OPPORTUNITY to show my boss why he is paying me, to give the customer the OPPORTUNITY to see HOW (what ever you are selling) will help him solve his problem, save money, do it better or faster. Do you think that you may make more sales and more money and keep your job? I would dare to say YES.

     If you cooked for the family, or did other things as a OPPORTUNITY to show them how much you LOVE THEM, not because you are OBLIGATED. Would not you home life be BETTER?

     Are you really OBLIGATED to buy the cigarette, the junk food, to go out to drink after work, or for that matter to be around people that you do not care to be around? Are there some strings that is moving you to be OBLIGATED to go down that road? Then you need (THIS IS YOUR CHOICE) to cut the strings and stop being a puppet.

OPPORTUNITY not OBLIGATIONS

     I am here to tell you that the REAL LAND OF OPPORTUNITY is between YOUR EARS. That no matter were you are in live, or how old or young you may be, your starting point is NOW. Your place in live will only CHANGE if you CHANGE.

     You are at the TWO DIVERGING ROAD, as you look down the one to the left as far as you can see, it's well beaten and easy going, STOP and look at the other, the one that is less TRAVELED.
