Did you know that there is a whole county were millions of successful people and millions of business has adopted this MAGIC WORD as their operating philosophy? It was also the age-old philosophy of it's warriors and leaders.
What are some of the philosophy that we and business operate under? THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. If this was true, most business would not still be in business. You know and I know that the customer is not always right and part of the employee's job is to info them of the correct, price,color, make, etc, etc.
Don't tell me that you are not been in a store were there are several of the same items all at the same location with a BIG SALE sign above them for this great price, but when you when to pay for them, the price was different. You were told that maybe another customer had put them at the location or change the tag. (they would never say that you did this.) But you are still not going to get it for that price.
How about you go into the store with a sale paper in your hand looking for this one item, and then you are shown the small print. And the price is not what's in the BIG NUMBER but more MONEY.
How about this one, IF YOU DON'T TAKE CARE OF THE CUSTOMER SOMEONE ELSE WILLLike you have a choice with your power company. And what about the people that will never change because they are afraid of the unknown, your company. (I used this before, better the devil I know then the one I don't)
SERVICE WITH A SMILE.Does this mean that if you are the customer and you don't smile you will not get any services? I think that you get the idea why most of this philosophy does not work.
What is you personal operating philosophy? Do you even have one? If you do is it really any better then some of the ones used above? When you look at any operating philosophy, be it personal or business, is there any room for misunderstanding it what you or they STAND FOR?
The world is changing so fast now that what you see in the morning, is old by night time. Some of the old school thinking and ideas just do not work anymore.
But one thing has not changed and that is change itself, and if you want to be successful, NO, GREAT then you have to learn to keep asking yourself, "How can I make this (what ever it is at work or your personal life) BETTER?" "How can I do this with greater LOVE?"HOW CAN I CHANGE?
By asking yourself, HOW CAN I..... questions, you are going to make some improvements in both your personal and business life. But to THRIVE and BECOME GREAT, as other GREAT people have, you must have a dedicated approach to improvements and learning.
I hope you know by now that I feel that you should dedicated 15 minutes or more everyday to reading. I also hope, you understand that someone that will not read is no better off then a person that can not read. That because of their lack knowledge they both will not grow or change.
