OBSTACLES

It has been said that OBSTACLES are the things that you see when you take you eye off your GOALS.

I would hope by now that you have some GREAT goals that you are working on. But if you are someone that does not believe in goals or does not think that you need them let me tell you this. YOU ARE WRONG.

You see, you, me all of us have goals, just that some of us acknowledges them and work them into a plan for our life's and other do not.

When you got out of bed the morning was it by accident or did you have a goal to get out of bed...hint if you did any thing yesterday to help you today like make a lunch, put gas in your car or set the clock to wake you. THEN you had a goal to get up today.

Did you not also have a goal to get to work/school or drop the kids off to school today. When you wash cloths or get food from a store isn't that with a goal of having clean clothing or eating sometime in the future?

In fact everything you do, you do with a goal in mind.

If you watch basketball you know that the goal is to get the ball in the basket more times then the other team. If you go to the line for a free throw you have to look at the basket and not all the people behind it that are waving the towels and yelling at you, (obstacles) because if you do you will not get the ball in the basket

When you get in your car to go from point A to B, I can tell you that if you don't keep you eye on your goal and you look at obstacles (someone in another car read a paper turn and talk to someone in the back) you will not reach you goal.

There are hundreds of OBSTACLES that you will find put in your way as you journey through life. Some are; your too old or young, your fat/skinny not tall enough or your a woman or man not smart enough or black white yellow red brown your from the wrong side of town...need I go on with all the OBSTACLES that are out there looking to STOP YOU.

Dare I say that some of the OBSTACLES come from people that LOVE YOU and THINK THEY ARE SAVING/HELPING YOU.

Also don't forget that we sometimes are our own worse enermey ..we fear what others are thinking, we become slaves to the opinions of others or WE JUST GIVE UP.

Rabindranath Tagore who won the Nobel prize in literature in 1913, said

"You can't cross the sea by merely looking at the water."

ARE YOU LOOKING AT THE WATER?
