First stop .....  

Capt Jerry wanted to check out a little spot we ran over on the way in last trip and see what was lurking in the area. 

Boy were we in for a surprise ..... 

American Red Snapper tried to eat the bottom of the boat out! Snapper of all sizes were there and boy were they hungry! Mixed in, when they could get to the bait, we also caught some really nice sized Mango's, a few Red Grouper, of course a few big Gags, and then, these little pesky sharks showed up as if right on Que because everyone who wanted it had their Red Snapper Limit.  

Taking a little break and moving offshore a few miles brought some really nice Grouper, Mango's, Amberjacks, and Pink Snapper and more. 

Just about the time everyone's blood sugar got a little out of whack, Chef Paul dished up an AMAZING  

Breakfast of Steak and Eggs!

  The Afternoon:

We continued working our way offshore in the deeper water and caught a bunch of  

• Nice Scamp Grouper

   

  

  

   

• Red Grouper of all sizes.

  

  

  

  

We caught quite a few "Trophy" size Scamps and Reds.

Mixed in were quite a few large Mango's, Pink Porgies and Bee-Liners.

Everyone on the boat had a hard time understanding  

why the scientists think there are not enough Gag Grouper  

around and there needs to be a closure -  

Because  

We Caught And Released Plenty of Gag Grouper  

at every single place we stopped!

When the sun began to set the grouper bite slowed and while are weary fishermen sat down for dinner we moved inshore a few miles to begin the evening bite of Mango Snapper.

After dark the Mangos began co-operating and we picked away all night on Mango Snapper with numerous other fish mixed in as well.  

The bite was not as fast and furious as last week because there were a lot of smaller sharks in the area and we had to move away from them from time to time.

We finished off the trip at a little "Honey-Hole" and caught a real mixed bag of Red Snapper, Gag Grouper, AmberJack and more.

Overall it was a very good trip with everyone

Of Special Note ....

A group of dedicated fishermen drove all the way down from Philadelphia to go fishing with us - they had a ball, caught a bunch of fish and were heard saying
