The Pastor's Mark

Hello Mount Paran North Family,

I hope you enjoyed last Sunday when Pastor Jeremy Isaacs and I talked about what "Supersized" means. Will you be a part of God's kingdom supersizing itself? If you missed the message, click here.

This Sunday, we'll be having ONE SERVICE ONLY at 10:30am. Please join me for a special message called "America the Beautiful."

Then at 7:30pm, be sure to bring your family and friends to our patriotic musical celebration. It's going to be a great night with fireworks and ice cream to follow.

Also, I hope you'll come hear my father, Dr. Paul Walker, tonight in the Watkins Chapel for his final teaching on how "Joy in Christ is a Choice."

I look forward to seeing you tonight at 7:00pm, Sunday for our one combined service at 10:30am, and Sunday night at 7:30pm for our patriotic celebration.

Blessings,

CHILDREN

Driving Force Summer 2011

Driving ForceWednesday nights ~ all summer, 7-8:30pm, Room 323; kids age 4 through completed 3rd grade During "Driving Force" this summer, kids will focus on Colossians 1:18 "So in all things Jesus has first place." Each week, they will look at additional Bible examples of putting Jesus first! On a fun note, kids will have the opportunity to EARN BIG POINTS for their "Racing Teams" when they come to "Driving Force."

Here are the super easy ways to help kids earn points for their team:

1. Attend Driving Force

2. Bring a Bible

3. Bring their completed take-home sheet

4. Bring a visitor

After each racing team has had "Bible Pit Stop" with their leaders, they will gather together to play "Total Recall." This is a fun time when teams will play a question and answer game to earn even bigger points. All the questions will review the Bible story from that night and we will have a few physical challenges mixed in as well!

Related to our summer mission trip, Transition kids are on a "Quest for Compassion" all summer long. Through use of interactive web tools, we are "traveling" around the world to understand the culture, lifestyle, prayer needs and barriers to the spread of the Gospel. As our hearts are sensitized to needs around the world, we'll spend time in prayer for those countries and related discipleship and evangelism efforts.

For our fun activities, kids are participating in a hands-on geo-caching adventure on our church property called "Where in the World?" Don't miss the adventure!
