Three Tips to Create Space for Happiness
You have worries, deadlines, outside pressures and inside pressures. As a coach the question that comes up for all of my clients at one time or another is "How can I get some relief from my hectic schedule and find some peace in my life without letting others down!"
This is are different situations for everyone so these are basic guidelines that can get you pointed in the right direction. If you have been a reader of my newsletter for long you must know by now that coaching is using your own innate wisdom about what you want to happen and how to get there. Start with these easy steps:
- Stop. Begin with 5 minutes if you must, but stop running from task to task all day long. Insert a coffee break, alone, with your thoughts.Think anything that pleases you. Read a book, take a walk just do something to calm yourself for a period of time.
- Visualize. We work on this in my Empower Your Goals Workshop. If you can see what you want your life to look like in your minds eye you are halfway there! Take 10 minutes a day and close your eyes and see your life at its best. Savor every detail, pay attention to how you feel. When you feel things they become real for you.
- Act! When you want change the best practice to get it is to act like you already have it! You want more money, window shop as if you had unlimited funds. When you look at the prices of items say "is that all" and keep shopping. If you want to do better in your business act like the best person you know in business. Emulate their every move, and be in awe of the results.
- OK I know I said only 3 but I can never leave this one off the list. Be in gratitude. There is always something to be grateful for. When you live in gratitude you are supported in many invisible ways. Say it out loud from time to time throughout your day then wait for your feelings of appreciation to come back to you 100 times!
