How will you BE different this year?

So now that 2010 is behind us and getting smaller in the rear view mirror, what does the upcoming year look like for you and/or your business? Working with my clients has shown an interesting trend from doing to being, which is one of the key reasons for someone to hire a coach. My coaching practice doubled last year because of people seeking a shift in their lives.

Consider the daily routine you follow. Does it include time to just be? What does that even mean? I believe Your outer world is a reflection of your inner being. Focus on that thought as your progress through your day. If you are less than satisfied with your outer routines and attitudes it generally requires you to look at your being rather than what you are doing. This can be done in many ways, some of which you already know about. Prayer, meditation, affirmations or a combination of anything that feeds your soul. The being part of your existence needs to be fed as much as your physical body needs food and water. What you feed either shows up in your "body".

Here are some steps to get you going on creating this Holistic Happiness in balance between your inner and outer words.
  • Take time to be alone every day. This means not focusing on your task list or thinking of what your mind says you should be doing...just be.

  • Visualize your day flowing in an easy and relaxed manner before starting the "doing" part of your day. Do this daily in the same place at the same time to build up your muscle memory.

  • Try to listen to your intuition throughout your day and follow the advice you hear. We all have this ability. Forest PathwayIt is like when you know you are in danger before something happens, or your phone rings moments after you were thinking of the person calling you. Quiet the head and listen from the heart as often as possible and your head decisions will be more beneficial.

  • Get some coaching to help you get and stay on track! There are coaching classes, groups, and of course my favorite, one to one coaching. It is the most dynamic way to help you balance your days and find the peace we all crave in our lives.
Start with a few small steps today! Find a time that you can sit alone with no distractions from your mind or outside influences. Begin with ten minutes and promise yourself to practice it for three weeks.  You will be amazed by the many benefits that follow!

If you have any questions about this and would like complimentary coaching for more clarity please let me know and please email me your results from your practice.

In Gratitude,
Scott
