Breathe Deeper
By monitoring your breath you immediately slow down naturally. Try it the next time you feel anxious, or stressed out. Simply say "in" on the inhale and "out" on the exhale 5 or 6 times. You can do this anywhere and I promise this small act will produce big results. Try it and let me know how it helps!

Schedule Empty Blocks of Time on your Calendar
We tend to overbook ourselves with meetings, phone calls and tasks. One very easy way to get your day to flow instead of being a mad rush is build into your schedule blocks of time with nothing assigned to it. This will allow you to be able to work more efficiently on the projects you have, and to be more present in the meetings you are attending. A simple 15 or 30 minute break between appointments can allow you to breathe. Maybe get a cup of coffee, use the restroom, stretch your legs or prepare for your next meeting. This seems easy to do but trust me it will take some discipline to get started. Look at your upcoming calendar of events and schedule blocks of time for you now and control the flow for higher productivity. Combined with breathing, this is yet another step toward your Holistic Happiness.
