This is a Free Webinar!

Minnesota businesses contribute mightily to the quality of life in their communities.  Despite their philanthropy, many lack a formal process.  Financial donations, in particular, often are made on a first come, first served basis.  Join Jackie Reis, who directs Minnesota Business Gives, a program of the Minnesota Chamber, as she helps you better understand why and how you give and how you can be more strategic about what you give and to whom.  For additional information, contact Jackie Reis at jreis@mnchamber.com.  To register click here

September 15 - Kiwanis Peanut Day

Willmar Kiwanis is proud to announce that Wheels for Kids will be their 2012 Peanut partner.  Wheels for Kids is a new initiative developed by Child Guides, Willmar Community Education and Recreation and the Willmar School District to help students from families without ready transportation a way to get to school, participate in activities and enjoy Willmar's park and trail system.  Wheels for Kids is collecting bikes and matching them to students along with connections to maintenance and safety information, a bike helmet and lock.

Wheels for Kids is in need to ready-to-ride bikes and tools that can be used to repair bikes.  If you have an item to donate, please contact Christine Hilbert at 320.231.8490 or email her at hilbertc@willmar.k12.mn.us.

Kiwanis Peanut Day is scheduled for September 15th!  Kwianis members and our partner will staff Peanut Stands in high traffic areas of the city on Saturday, September 15th, rewarding contributors with packs of shelled, roasted peanuts in the familiar red and blue packaging.  Local businesses and individuals will be contacted in the month preceding the event and cartons will be delivered by September 15.  Peanut Packs are great for Trick or Treat.  If you'd like to make a contribution and would like a carton of peanuts, please call Maribeth Williamson at 320.231.3777.  All money raised goes back to the community.
